Our commentary this week touched base on the recent weather tragedy with the tornadoes in Oklahoma, Assata Shakur being put on the FBI's U.S. Most Wanted Terrorist List, the biggest for-profit prison company in the U.S. - the CCA (Corrections Corporation of America) - basically guaranteeing LOTS of bodies in jail for a while, our view of Hip-Hop artist Kanye West's latest songs ("New Slaves" & "Black Skinhead"), return of the Hip-Hop holograms at this year's Rock The Bells Festival, the controversy behind an interview with actress Zoe Saldana's views on race, the passing of House Music producer/singer Romanthony, fools in Europe tweeting criminal acts on the Internet (and getting caught)getting stuck in McDonalds' baby high chairs while drunk plus some other things here and there.

There is no brand new Black Agenda Report news mini-segment on this week's episode.

Our extended commentary this week (after being off last week) touched base on the suspicious passing of the grandson of Malcolm X (Malcolm Shabazz), some Republicans in Wisconsin's legislature that are trying to ban using food stamps from purchasing organic food, the atrocity of a Mayan Pyramid in Belize being bulldozed for rocks, the media's treatment of the Amanda Berry case including the treatment of Charles Ramsey (the Black man who saved her & the other kidnapped ladies), singer/MC Lauryn Hill's IRS tax issues & latest tune she dropped, our viewpoint about the "The Great Gatsby" movie soundtrack, Detroit giving techno music founders (like Juan Atkins and more) props in The Detroit Historical Museum plus some other things here and there.

This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of May 8, 2013 (a flashback episode originally broadcast on March 16, 2011) with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

Our extended commentary that week focused on the tragic situation in Japan due to it's recent earthquake + tsunami, passing & impacts of music artists Nate Dogg (major part of the West Coast "G-Funk" Hip-Hop era with his singing, hooks, etc.), reggae artist Smiley Culture, Mark Adams (bassist for Funk/R&B group Slave) and electronic synthesizer visionary Tsutomu Katoh (founder of Korg) along with some more diverse topics here and there.

We had a great extended interview with long-time entertainment industry executive Paul Porter of Industry Ears (http://www.IndustyEars.com), a consortium of entertainment and broadcast industry professionals with more than 60 years of experience dedicated to revealing truth and promoting justice in media.

Some of the topics that we touched base on included the consolidation of all media outlets & how that effects the entertainment + information the masses get, what's REALLY the deal with 'net neutrality, what media outlets are truly "black owned" in the mainstream, the politics of the music industry behind the scenes, the importance of the Black Entertainment community getting into media policy issues and lots more!

Due to our extended interview, new Black Agenda Report and Black University Radio Network (B.U.R.N.) Direct EFX segments will be on next week's syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast episode.
